![]() Users can utilize the AWS Cost Explorer to get detailed information about the costs associated with their AWS services. The AWS budget is configured to generate alerts at 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, and 140% of the determined monthly budget amount. UFIT creates a UFAD distribution list that is used in an AWS budget. Additional access to the AWS console will be given as required depending upon the service architecture. Additional access may be granted via creation of local users in AWS IAM for service accounts that need access to AWS services.ĭefault access is given to Cost Explorer in the console to allow customers to view detailed information about their AWS costs. Architecture AccessĪccess to AWS will be granted to users using AWS SSO which utilizes UF Shibboleth with Gatorlink credentials. ![]() Details related to a specific service will be provided during the design process. Shared costs such as Direct Connect, VPC, Transit Gateway, NAT Gateway, Internet Gateway, Central Audit Logging, Ingress and Egress traffic, etc are covered by UFIT. The UFIT Business Center pays the master payer account bill then retroactively bills each account for their usage each month. Billingīilling for each account is rolled up to the master payer account. ![]() All resources and services are created within the customer account. A new account is created within the UF master payer account for each customer number. UF has one master payer account that contains all the UF accounts. UFIT will then assist in architecting the services and deploying them. Customer input is taken into account during this process. If public cloud is determined to be the best fit each public cloud will be evaluated and the best fit will be suggested. UFIT will review all requests for public cloud services to determine whether on premise solutions or public cloud solutions are the best fit for the request. The deposit will be credited back to the customer when service is terminated. Due to variability of private cloud service costs, the UFIT Business Center will secure a customer deposit of 120% of the expected baseline monthly bill. Access will be given to customers to review cloud costs. Bills will be sent out monthly by the UFIT Business Center for the amounts due from the public cloud vendors. BillingĬustomers will sign up for UF Hosting service and receive a customer number that will be used to bill all hosting resources including public cloud. Customers will be given the least amount of access required for services to function. All public cloud resources are created and managed by UFIT. Each project is unique and as such ownership of resources will be discussed during the design phase. UFIT will work with customers to design and implement public cloud services. All services and data will be covered by UFs Business Associate Addendum (BAA) and bypass basic security audits for cloud services. All billing will roll up through the UFIT Business Center and be billed directly to customers. UFIT will work with you to design, architect, implement, and manage your applications within one of the approved public clouds. UFIT provides approved frameworks to deploy workloads into public cloud resources.
